Born in Antwerp with Portuguese roots, Blu Samu has always carried a sense of in- betweenness. That duality shapes the core of her debut. A return to Portugal, her childhood home, helped bring the album into focus - bridging the punk spirit of her youth, the drum n bass of her teenage nights, and the soulful lyricism she grew into as an adult.
